Meanwhile, self-employed people can go to any social security system office or authorized payment center to transfer their payments. But if you no longer reside in the Philippines, how can you continue to pay?

SSS Membership How to become a member of SSS

If you are applying to become a member, you can register for the SSS number online. Once you get your SSS number, you will be classified as a “temporary member”. To become a “permanent member” and reap the benefits, you will need to submit these documents to the nearest branch of the social security system:

SSS Monthly Pension
According to the SSS website, members are required to pay 120 contributions per month to be eligible for a monthly pension after retirement. People who cannot meet the required monthly subscriptions will receive a lump sum equal to the amount they have paid. If members are unable to pay their dues for a specified period, they will not be penalized. But other than that, a member cannot meet the required 120 monthly contributions. Members cannot pay for the months they lose. But on the other hand, they can pay the price for their contribution up front. It can be paid quarterly or annually.
